Room 14

Room 14 is a Year 2 and 3 class. 

The teacher is Miss Cheung.

Term 4 learning 2011

Room 14 has been learning about the patterns from the Pacific Islands.

Term 4 Visual Arts

Our learning intention is to draw some Pacific patterns.

We know we’ve been successful when we can

  1. decide on the Pacific patterns.
  2. sketch on the draft paper using thick and thin lines.
  3. transfer  patterns to the publish paper.
  4. vivid the outline of the patterns.
  5. scrunch up the paper to make crease marks
  6. put dye on the publish paper.

Our learning intention is understand the basic weaving patterns.

We know we’ve been successful when we can

  1. choose the coloured paper strips
  2. put one paper strip through the frame
  3. use under and over technique to thread through to the end of the frame
  4. finish weaving the whole frame.

Term 4 Visual Language

Learning intention is to draw a timeline to show a sequence of events.

We know we’ve been successful when we can

  1. draw a straight line.
  2. write the title of the book
  3. label with numbers or time words
  4. write the key events of the story
  5. put the events in order on the timeline matching the number labels
