Room 14 is a Year 2 and 3 class.
The teacher is Miss Cheung.
Term 4 learning 2011
Room 14 has been learning about the patterns from the Pacific Islands.
Term 4 Visual Arts
Our learning intention is to draw some Pacific patterns.
We know we’ve been successful when we can
- decide on the Pacific patterns.
- sketch on the draft paper using thick and thin lines.
- transfer patterns to the publish paper.
- vivid the outline of the patterns.
- scrunch up the paper to make crease marks
- put dye on the publish paper.

Our learning intention is understand the basic weaving patterns.
We know we’ve been successful when we can
- choose the coloured paper strips
- put one paper strip through the frame
- use under and over technique to thread through to the end of the frame
- finish weaving the whole frame.

Term 4 Visual Language
Learning intention is to draw a timeline to show a sequence of events.
We know we’ve been successful when we can
- draw a straight line.
- write the title of the book
- label with numbers or time words
- write the key events of the story
- put the events in order on the timeline matching the number labels
