Room 6 is our Year 1 and new entrant classroom

Room 6 have been learning about culture.
We have lots of different cultures in our class; they are Tongan, Samoan and Maori.
Room 6 made siapo patterns.
We chose 6 different pictures that are from our cultures and put them into a pattern that repeats.

Room 6 made tapa patterns.
We had a piece of paper that had lots of triangles on it and we had to colour it in to show a pattern like on tapa.

We had to weave black and white together to make a pattern.
